The plans are 5 or 10 per cent cheaper than the existing offerings, depending on how long you select.
Volkswagen has announced new three- and five-year service plans across its range, helping lower costs by five and 10 per cent respectively.
The new program, inventively dubbed Volkswagen Service Plan, replaces the current Assured Service Price program. It’s available across the brand’s entire range, and is transferable between owners.

Although it’s cheaper than before, Volkswagen hasn’t repositioned itself too far down the service affordability scale.
The Golf is still $360 more expensive than a Hyundai i30 to service over three years, and a meaningful $612 costlier than a Corolla for the same period. It does, however, undercut the Subaru Impreza.
Moving to the Polo, $2164 over five years is $664 more expensive than a Mazda 2, while $1152 over three years is $312 more than it’ll cost you to maintain a Yaris over the same period.
Along with the less expensive servicing plans, Volkswagen recently announced a five-year, unlimited-kilometre warranty promotion, running until the end of December.
