This week, it’s an all-Euro mid-engine face-off.

Peugeot might have officially confirmed the 508 Touring for Australia, but our latest poll shows there’s plenty of demand for its Volvo V60 rival.

Of the 1400 respondents to the poll, 68 per cent favoured the Swedish hauler over the Peugeot 508. Both promise to deliver a modern take on the classic European wagon formula, coupling chic looks with load bays capable of holding more than 530L.

For those of you playing along at home, the V60 holds 539L – up 9L on the Peugeot, which is actually 30L behind its larger, less pretty predecessor.

There’s one key difference between the two, though: Peugeot has confirmed it’ll bring the 508 Touring to Australia, the V60 still isn’t nailed down.

THIS WEEK’S POLL

Alpine is gunning directly for the Porsche 718 Cayman with its new A110. Sounds like a bold play to us – which would you have?
