The Mercedes-AMG E 53 Coupe isn’t a whippersnapper the way performance cars are. But, it’s far from a tortoise, either. The AMG E 53 Coupe is surprisingly quick on its feet. It’s capable of sprinting from 0 to 60 mph in 4.3 seconds, and while its 158-mph top speed isn’t anything to write home about, it’s still capable of putting a lot of cars in its segment in their proper places. A big part of the AMG E 53 Coupe’s performance capabilities rests on its powertrain. It has a twin-turbocharged, inline-six and a mild hybrid setup with EQ Boost that combine to produce a total of 450 horsepower and 384 pound-feet of torque. All that power — and the resulting crackling sound it produces — was on full display in this video of the coupe running roughshod over the Autobahn.
