More than 20,000 SUVs are caught in the latest Mitsubishi campaign.

Mitsubishi has recalled the 2018 Eclipse Cross, 2018/19 ASX and 2017/18 Outlander for the second time this week over concerns about their autonomous emergency braking systems.

According to the company, the system might continue applying the brakes when they’re no longer required to avoid a collision, increasing the risk of following traffic running into the car.

A total of 20,987 vehicles are affected by the recall across the three model lines – a VIN list is attached here.

Mitsubishi will contact owners of the affected vehicles and advise them to organise a fix with their nearest dealership.

It’s the second time this week Mitsubishi has recalled these three model lines, with a notice issued earlier this week regarding a potential fault with their stability control systems.
