Super Series drops some kilos, adds some carbon, and gets a louder exhaust for enhanced circuit abilities.

McLaren Automotive has revealed the 720S Track Pack, a new specification designed to take the twin-turbo supercar to “the next level”.

Following from the Track Pack specification recently launched for the 570S, the 720S Track Pack brings functional and cosmetic upgrades, along with a weight saving of 24 kilograms.

It’s based on the 720S Performance variant, ‘super-lightweight’ 10-spoke forged alloy wheels, MSO Defined gloss carbon-fibre rear spoiler and a sports exhaust system.

The exterior add-ons complement the Performance specification’s carbon-fibre mirrors, intakes and vents, along with engine bay ambient lighting.

Meanwhile, the interior benefits from lightweight carbon-fibre racing seats in ‘regular’ or ‘touring’ sizes, MSO Defined satin carbon-fibre shift paddles, and a black Alcantara steering wheel. There’s also a titanium bar behind the seats supporting six-point harnesses for the driver and front passenger.

Buyers can opt for the Track Pack as a £28,360 ($52,772) option on the 720S, bringing the base price to £224,700 ($410,681) in the UK.
