  • The leak seems to validate an M2 with an M4 engine.

    Photos and specs for the hotly expected BMW M2 Competition have been leaked two weeks in advance of the car’s official debut.

    Revealed on BMW Blog Slovenia, the leak statements that the even more difficult-core effectiveness model of the M2 coupe will be run by the twin-turbo 3.-liter inline-6 discovered in the bigger BMW M4. On the other hand, in this application the motor will be detuned to 410 horsepower and 405 lb-ft of torque, a several ticks down from the 425 horsepower and 406 lb-ft of its large bro, but 45 horsepower and 62 lb-ft a lot more than a typical M2.

    The leak also claims that the setup is excellent for a -62 time of 4.2 seconds with the DCT gearbox. A manual transmission was not described.

    The accompanying photos seem straight out of a online video sport, and demonstrate the M2 Opposition with some unique visual modifications around the conventional M2. The nose options reshaped kidney grilles and intakes in the decreased fascia. In addition to the M4 motor, the M2 Competitiveness seems to get the mirrors and seats from its elder sibling as very well. Bigger diameter wheels and black badging finish the far more intense appear.

    The M2 Competitors is slated for debut at the Beijing Motor Clearly show April 25.
