Sadly, my first Toyota (2000 Celica) needed a new clutch at 90k miles and a new Cat at 95k miles. I got the car at 85k, and I didn't drive it rough, so it must've seen some hard launches. My next vehicle will probably be a Toyota, though. Interested to see how the next all-new Tundra does, whenever it comes out. Tundras are hugely popular here in TX.

They are so damn boring. No drama. To trade one off, you have to make excuses to the wife.

A few weeks ago my son's fiance wrecked her car. Due to an insurance snafu (her mom the owner was in England) she needed a stopgap car to use for a month. So I picked up a 1998 Corolla with 215,000 miles on it for cheap. The other day I was hinting around about her getting a car with that insurance money. "Why?" She said. 'It runs great, and I love it." I'll probably never get that Corolla back.

    Toyota. Just too damn reliable.

Hey Scotty, I have a 2010 Toyota Highlander Hybrid. That car is rock solid but dealer recommendation is to change timing belt on 90k and I already have 130k on it and the car is driving smooth! What do you think? Is this engine interference or not? Thanks in advance for your help ! Many people testify that they drive over 200k without replacing and some said they replaced it but the new one broke on 50k after replacing, so I’m a bit confused.
    Have a great day !
