Scotty, I changed my front rotors, brakes and calipers on my 2006 E series 350 Van. I keep smelling the brakes burning on the driving side. It's been over 4 months and I still smell them, what might be the issue.
I am over modern cars! And just to prove how much better the older ones are. I own 2 Bonneville sedans a 1990 with 296K and a 2003 with 228K and the 2003 has way more problems than the older one! Im selling it
Just replaced my rear rotors in my 05 F150 back in May due to pulsating while braking downhill, as well as braking at highway speeds. Definitely warped! Super easy fix. Maybe 45min.

On the second question… I would hafta say that when he goes down hill the brakes head up and that is when the warped rotors show there ugly face…… I would say as mechanic that I would try to heat up the brakes on flat level ground; (how you do that is up to you)…… drive the snot out of it a little/drag the brake peddle some ….. if the stering wheel shakes it's in the front. If the brake peddle moves up and down on your foot its the rear.
