When you suspect a misfire, constant or intermittent is from a spark 'leak' ,look for it in the dark .If intermittent, have a helper vary the rpm under load. Also listen for 'snap'.

This pertains to air cooled motors mostly, to unstick pistons, put a drop lite [incandescent] against the jug/block and plug into a timer like diesels use. Put solvent of your choice in on top of piston and 'dissimilar metal expansion' will let wicking slowly and evenly free up parts as timer cycles on and off.Torches distort and affect temper.Or you could just weld a 1/4" nut to an old non fouler,cross-thread a zerk fitting in it and break the ring-lands off with greasegun pressure!!!!

In the 50's,my Dad fixed a friends 235 chevy that had unseated rings by having his friend pull the shifter down into low gear and straining the engine barely while Daddy slowly shook comet cleanser down the carbueretor.

Cut groves into a bolt to make it into a cheap tap. Then you can clean out or even rethred a hole/ nut.

Cleaner method for the first tip – Instead of using the piece of paper on the socket, you can just put a small neodymium magnet anywhere on it, so that the metal bolt will stick to it as the socket becomes magnetized.

You’re not a real mechanic if you don’t like getting dirty.

If you need to put grease ertz on with a socket, its going to go too deep in the socket. Use shop towel and stuff it in the socket to make it more shallow.
