Good, easy, in 3 minutes, going to try it this week
Been running a repair shop for over 15 years. I've gained a real relationship with most of our customers to the point of being almost friends and the do you know thing is total B.S. Way to make someone feel stupid. How about bringing the car into the bays for a scheduled oil change for example and than suggesting services that may be needed. If they don't want to do it then that's fine. The vehicle is still derivable. I will never use "Do you know when " I get more repeat customers because we don't over sell. I'm sure you would try to sell someone a brake fluid flush too. Your the type of salesman I love to prove wrong with your scare tactics of well if you keep driving this vehicle with the brakes the way they are with you family you could be in danger. Really. They are not grinding on the breaks and most the time we find a few thousand miles left. Your wrong in how you teach people. But it's ok because people like you will keep my little two bay shop thieving.
nearly all service advisors i've worked with couldn't sell fluid exchanges to save their lives. most shops are even able to print out the manufacturer's scheduled maintenance and hand it to the customer. laziness…
