Here’s one way to fix and repair fiberglass stress cracks.. We use Dynaglass body filler on this repair to make it easy and simpler do Do It Yourself. Fiberglass repairs can be a real big job unless you know all the tech tips and helpful hints!

    Heh, takes me back to when I worked in a small fiberglass shop making interior/exterior decorations. We made carouse horses, whirly gigs, different types of birds, all kinds of things, paint them like new and then antique them. The Museum of Natural History in NYC had a elephant tusk that was knocked over and broke. They replaced with one of ours, yeah, made them too and deer antler chandeliers, and no one knew it was fake. Anyway, my boss gave me the job of fixing a big hole in a shroud for a snow groomer. I started with a layer of matte, and then built up layers of resin, a silica powder of some kind and shredded fiber glass. It took me 5 hrs, but made $125 back in 1980. It was a slow start but as the fiberglass cured it heated and then I was able to work faster. Came out nice. Also when you were finding those holes, when I was a jeweler I would get castings with tiny holes and learned quick to prod them as there was a bigger hole underneath a lot of times and when working on up to a 100 pieces at times you want to do it twice. Wastes a lot of valuable time. Thanks for sharing
