Most cars are not created equal. Most cars are mass produced, therefore most engines aren't created equal and will break down. ?
Opel was fun to repair… Before all the computers came around but since they made the first fuel injected kadetts they turned to the worst car company there is. German Ford is only a little better. Avoid.
with all of the technology we have why cant they make an engine that doesn't have these issues?

My 08' RAV4 also failed an oil consumption test performed by Toyota but they fixed problem for free, new block and rings.
My mother had a Honda Odyssey and it was burning a qt every 1000 miles and they tried to tell her that was “normal”. But as it turns out they had a defective engine. Finally forced them into fixing it. I wont buy a Honda because of the way they treated my mother.
I had th3 same oil burning bs when I had a VW GTI from the VW dealer. Thank goodness it was a lease! Got rid of it and swore off VW forever! It was my first and last VW!
The only car I ever had that used a quart of oil in a 1000 miles was a '76 Pinto. And I've owned a lot of cars over the years.
