In this video I have a look at a 2014 GMC Yukon that has a customer complaint of a low brake pedal. It doesn’t take long to duplicate the customer complaint and find the cause. These systems work off from a vacuum pump and they are a pretty common failure item. -Enjoy!

Should have just used a hydraulic pump booster ran off the power steering pump like the old diesels used.

Ran into 4 or 5 others and just now wants it looked at? Seriously?

You so nonchalantly said she bumped into 4-5 cars at the grocery store. With bumpers being what they are today that's thousands of dollars in insurance claims.

I can't get past the part about this customer having 4 or 5 incidents before deciding it should be looked at….

Dont know why they just dont use the same system as the diesels and use a hydraulic system. Edit: I ask that rhetorically since we all know why, but it would be better than reinventing the wheel as stated.

Eric, My 2012 Chrysler 200, 3.6 V6 just failed to start yesterday. It has about 76,000 miles on it. Up till now the car has been golden. Up till now I would have recommended this car to anyone. Absolutely love it. Anyway, I drove it from work to the grocery store. Started fine and ran fine. 16 degrees outside. I had been sitting in the parking lot idling for about 15 minutes before shutting it off. Got back into it about 5 minutes later and no crank, no start. Just clicking. Acted like a dead battery, but absolutely no sign of it whatsoever other than no start. AAA came out and jump started it with the smallest battery pack I've ever seen. How something that small can have enough power to jump start a car I don't know. He connected his battery pack and the car started very strong, not like it had a weak battery at all. With 76,000 (or whatever it has) I've been thinking about replacing the alternator and battery preemptively to avoid this very thing. But figured I had "green time" left on the two items. The brain trust says they've replaced the battery and alternator in some cases and the problem came back. One commenter on the web said he found a loose connection to the fuel pump that must have been that way from the factory…..but his car at least cranked. Others have said that the dealership mechanics have shot-gunned parts at it ….and the problem came back. Dealership, no help. No lights, No codes either, in all of this. Now even if I throw some parts at it I won't be able to trust the car. It gives no warning at all before it drops dead. ….and I drive on desolate roads with no cell signal in freezing weather. Any thoughts you have on this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
